People amaze me.
It smacked me in the face today. The realization that my struggles are tiny, itty-bitty, microscopic little dots in the big picture.
I had a patient come in, 6 weeks post-op. She had been admitted to the ER following a motor vehicle accident in which she was ejected from the car and found 80 feet away from the site.
She was just 18 years old. One night, one trauma. But she’s here today...
